'The white chair' and 'Siesta time' on exhibition at the ICHF Arts & Crafts event at the Birmingham NEC from 1st–4th November

It was great news that two of my paintings 'The white chair' and 'Siesta time' were 'Highly Commended' for this year's SAA Artist of the Year 2018. They have been on display as the SAA Headquarters during the summer but are now to be displayed alongside the other winners at the prestigious ICHF Arts & Crafts event at the Birmingham NEC.

'Gathering Storm' and 'Waterside' paintings sold

As always it is a fantastic feeling to sell paintings. I was, however, particularly pleased about 'Gathering storm' as this was one I painted especially with the aim of donating the sale proceeds to the The Greek Cat Welfare Society. It was great to be able to do this and with thanks to the purchaser who made this possible! There are two other paintings in my 'Greek cats' section which will be available for purchase in the near future. In the meantime £5.00 is donated from any sales from limited edition prints.

'Maidenhead market' sold at the Cookham Arts Club Spring show

I was delighted to sell my painting 'Maidenhead market' at the Cookham Arts Club Spring show. This one was a challenge to paint with all the buildings, windows, shop logos etc but I very much enjoyed it.

Two paintings sold at the Cookham Summer Exhibition

It was lovely to hear that I sold two paintings at the Cookham Arts Club Summer Exhibition. One of them is the A hot day in Cookham Acrylic painting (as pictured in the news item below) and the other is my In the forest watercolour painting as shown right.

I find painting such an enjoyable and relaxing experience but to know that they are liked enough to be hanging on a wall somewhere else is a lovely feeling.

'Hot day in Cookham' is awarded winner in the Nature of Cookham Painting Competition

It's fantastic news that I have been awarded winner in the adults category of the Nature of Cookham painting competition for A hot day in Cookham. I was thrilled to hear about this and attended the prize giving event at the Stanley Spencer Gallery in Cookham followed by a photo session in the beautiful Holy Trinity Church. The winning entries for the Young Adult and Child categories were exceptional. Please view them on my facebook page.

Prints of 'Maidenhead Market Day' available at the Maidenhead Heritage Centre

I am very pleased to supply some prints for sale of one my paintings to the Maidenhead Heritage Centre. The painting depicts Maidenhead on one of its market days including Maidenhead's iconic high street clock! The Heritage Centre is a wealth of information on local history in particular wartime aviation with a great spitfire simulator!

'Maidenhead Market Day' is not currently listed on my website but details can be viewed on my page on the Artists & Illustrator's website.

Two paintings sold at Cookham Arts Club Spring Exhibition

I am delighted to have sold two paintings at the Cookham Arts Club Spring Exhibition. The two paintings are Blue Shutters and The White Boat.

I love Greece and its bright colours as well as the beautiful colours of the Mediterranean which are a very popular subject for me. It's lovely to know this may be appreciated elsewhere too!
