Copyright for all art and images thereof on this website are owned by Karen Comber. All images may not be published, copied, stored or transmitted without written consent of the artist. Upon sale of any items, the copyright remains with the artist. The customer is purchasing only the item itself, not the right to produce prints or further copies.

Accuracy of information

Every effort is made to display accurate and up‐to‐date information regarding paintings and other items. However, occasionally, an error may be made or information becomes out of date without having the opportunity to update the website. The artist endeavours to keep the information up‐to‐date and accurate as soon as possible but reserves the right to update information directly with the customer, if required, following an enquiry.

Greeting cards may be subject to a delay due to low stock or out of stock. The customer will be informed as soon as possible should this be the case.

Image Accuracy

When a painting is reproduced for prints and greeting cards every effort is made to reproduce the colours and tones from the original as closely as possible. However, printing cannot reproduce all colours available from painting materials so there may be minor differences. Each image will be colour proofed and only be released for sale once the artist has deemed the result is a reflection of the original painting to a high standard.

Similarly, the display of images on the website are portrayed as close as possible to the original painting. However, computers and devices can display colours differently resulting in minimal differences between the website and actual item. This is, however, unlikely to affect the overall reflection of the painting.

Limited Edition Prints

In most cases the Limited Edition Print run is 50 but this may vary and will be marked as such on individual items. The prints are created on demand which enables the option of a custom size for the customer. Once the maximum number have been printed then no more will be created.

All prints will be personally signed and numbered which may appear on the front or the reverse. This is dependent on the print size and preferences that can be discussed with the customer. A certificate of authenticity will also be supplied.

The prints are Giclee fine art prints and printed on a high quality art paper called Hahnemuehle German Etching at a good quality weight of 310gsm. The paper has a light texture to it to bring out the original texture of an acrylic painting or imitate the texture of an original watercolour painting. The paper has archival qualities. Combined with a fade resistant archival ink, it should give a print life of around 80+ years.

However, even using fade resistant inks, as with any work of art, placing the item in strong direct sunlight can cause fading over time and therefore this should be avoided. Additionally, it is recommended that any materials used for mounting and framing be acid‐free to avoid possible yellowing over time.
